Dark Clouds and Silver Linings

I am dark clouds with silver linings

I have seen darkness

but I refuse to let it consume me.

I was rainy days.

Cold

Somber

lifeless

I choose to be sunshine with scattered clouds

I know true happiness comes from

both

darkness

and

light.

Warm and bright

I choose to be hopeful

that my darkness and light

can live inside me

as one.
